Some people say that the only reason for learning a foreign language is in order to travel to or work in a foreign country. Others say that these are not the only reasons why someone should learn a foreign language. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
There is no argument that learning a foreign language for travel or work is one of the most significant reasons. Some people think that there are plenty of reasons to study a new language. In the following paragraphs, both of these viewpoints will be discussed in detail before a conclusion is reached. It is true that some people learn a new language to travel and work in a foreign country. The reason is communication skills ,especially in a different country that we do not used to are very important. In addition, if they can communicate with local society in that place with a different language that will be easier than using a translation. Moreover, even though the translation has developed a lot in the past few years, it is still defective and error for some time. So that is the reason why everybody need to have basic skill before going to an unfamiliar place.
However, other people think that travel and work are not the main reasons of study a language. People learn a new foreign language for their own needs. For example, study that language because they are interested. Nowadays, in Thailand, many people study Korea to communicate with their superstars. Not only for idols but also for self-interest. Many people are interested in that language for themself so they motivate themself. I believe that learning from feelings of wanting to learn will be more successful than forcing yourself.
In conclusion, it depends on people who study that learn for travel and job or for other reasons. In the future, language will play an important role in our life.
