The pie chart illustrates the destinations of graduating Anthropology students from a particular university after completing their undergraduate degree, while the table shows the salaries of those who found employment after five years.
Overview
At first glance, the majority of graduates secured full-time employment. Moreover, while freelance consultants and government employees frequently earned at least $75,000, only around half of private sector employees reached this salary level.
Analysis
Just over half of the graduates entered full-time work, compared with 15% working part-time and 12% remaining unemployed. Those pursuing full-time postgraduate study, as well as those combining part-time work with postgraduate study, constituted a small minority, at 8% and 5% respectively.
Regarding salaries, 80% of freelance consultants earned at least $75,000, with half of them in the highest bracket of over $100,000. Similarly, 80% of government employees earned a minimum of $75,000, and 50% earned more than $100,000. By contrast, only 55% of private sector employees earned at least $75,000. The lowest salary bracket ($25,000–$49,999) was reported by only 5% of freelance consultants and government employees, compared with 10% of those in the private sector.
