The book Writing Academic English has been published to strengthen students’ writing skills. This book teaches writing skills to its audience in a simple and step-by-step manner and with various exercises related to writing, which is suitable for intermediate to advanced language learners.
The present book has three sections and 15 lessons. The first part of the book contains three lessons and teaches paragraph writing. In this section, the structure of the paragraph, its coherence and uniformity, and other things that must be observed for paragraph writing are taught. The second part of the book contains 6 lessons that teach the methods of writing different types of articles such as comparative / contradiction articles, cause and effect articles, process articles and argumentative articles. Paraphrase and summarization techniques are also discussed in this section. The last part of the book contains 6 lessons and explains the types of sentences such as simple, compound, complex sentences and noun, adverb, adjective, etc.
Each section of the book Writing Academic English and a few exercises by reviewing the text ends so students could have learned anything during the season to be used. Also, various articles from World Day magazines are intended for students to read. These articles, written in different formats, show learners the correct and standard method of writing an article.
Writing Academic English also has six appendices that explain the writing process. This part of the book deals with academic essay writing, punctuation rules, conjunctions, editorial symbols, types of sources, different methods of referring to the sources used in the article, and so on.
